Headway
Tunbridge Wells & District
is a registered charity providing information, support, and
services to people who have sustained a brain injury, their family
and carers.
We aim to provide social, leisure and therapeutic activities for
brain injured people at Headway, to help achieve the highest possible
level of functioning and quality of life.
We aim to provide respite for families and carers.
Headway services can commence at any time from the initial brain
injury, through to the stage when the brain injured person is in
the community or in residential care. Our support and outreach
services can involve the brain injured person, his or her carers,
medical rehabilitation and other professionals.
Referrals to Headway for help, information and support can be
made in a number of ways. Through self or family referral, general
practitioner, nursing staff, consultants, care managers/social
workers, solicitors and other interested people in the community.
Headway Tunbridge Wells and district is affiliated to Headway
UK, the brain injury association, which has groups and branches
through out the UK.
